Wow! What an awesome event! Best course, people, and fun! Thank you again for such a wonderful event! 3 days later & I’m still buzzing from the thrill. We will be back!
I had a great time! Loved the vibe, the course, the post-ride pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw and beer, the color of the shirt, the packet pick up at Killian’s, the free salsa water bottle, the awesomely positive aid station people, great weather,…had a blast! Thanks for all the hard work and doing such a great job
This is among the BEST organized, competitive, and enjoyable rides I’ve undertaken in my 20+ years of cycling. The pre-race email updates, pre-race instructions, and on-course “support” (race organizers were around enough that I never felt too far from help in the event of an emergency) were top-notch. The course is challenging for sure, but well within the abilities of those who have trained for both the distance and rolling, sometimes steep, hills. Excellent job to Kristi, Perry, and all their crew members! I plan on having this as one of my annual rides. Much thanks for your time and effort in putting on such a great Grinder!
“What an amazing ride!!! I will be back next year. The course was challenging, but worth every painful mile. The views were spectacular. The weather held out; although that headwind coming down Spearfish Canyon could have held off…was looking forward to the paved downhill “relief”…but Mother Nature had different ideas. Your race was / is the most organized gravel ride I have done to date!” Minneapolis, MN
“The Mother Lode was the best race and course I’ve done in years if not ever!! You guys do an amazing job gathering prizes and making sure everything goes off without a hitch. I know the struggles of putting on events and it no easy feat. But you make it look cool an smooth!! Once again thanks and we can’t wait for next year. I’ll come with more mileage/training and some grit in my teeth! And more folks from Montana.” Red Lodge, MT
